Everyone loves a drama, and The Blonds are no exception. The Blonds say their Fall 2008 collection was inspired by the urban fairytale. While we at ZOOZOOM share the same tendency of city-centrism, something about the intricate theatrics of the Blond's Fall garments reminded us less of New York and LA, and more of the bittersweet saga of Joan of Arc. What's more dramatic than the divine 15th century saint who rescued her country only to be burned at the stake? The Blonds might not be quite as tragic, but their drama does soar close to the sun.
